I have Win 8.1 x64 Media Center on my host system, and a VM with Win 8.1 x64 Enterprise.
I installed the BIG optional November roll-up, KB3002340 in the VM.
Now I can't copy text from inside my VM and paste it into an application outside the VM.
I tried reinstalling VMware tools in the VM (including a complete removal/reinstall).
Fortunately, shutting down VMs and closing and restarting VMware Workstation seems to have corrected this.
By the way, if you have Avast Antivirus, you'll need to completely uninstall it (using Avast's AvastClear tool) before installing update KB3002340 or your system will be borked.
