vmnet naming question

I deleted all of my VM network interfaces and created a bridged connection for each of the 2 NIC's. So in the editor I have vmnet0 and vmnet1. In the pulldown for my VM's I have vmnet1 and Bridged. Any idea why the names don't match? How can I verify vmnet1 is using eth1 and Bridged is using eth0? Also, I can't see any place now to force a MAC address, so each VM is getting a "fake" one created on the fly. I am pretty sure this option existed in the past someplace. As it happens I have been given the luxury of using generated MAC addresses because IT Security finally bumped the port alarm on the switch to allow more than 2. In the past if I could not force the MAC address the traffic was going nowhere.

I'm on CentOS 6.x for the host with Workstation 10.x.
