Bridged network not working after applying update to Windows 8.1

Hi,

I have VMWare Workstation 10.01 installed on Windows 8.1 64 bit host.

All going well until I applied windows update changes yesterday.

Since that time the VMs cannot connect via bridged network connection, only way I could get the VMs to work was to set then as NAT network connection.

Tried repairing the install of Workstation 10.01, no change.

Uninstalled Workstation 10.01 and reinstalled, still no change.

Checked Ethernet adapter in control panel and VMware Bridge Protocol is checked.  The VMware Network Adapter (VMnet1 & VMnet8) do not have the VMware Bridge Protocol checked, tried turning them on and still no success.

I am at a bit of a loss how to get the bridged network connection going again.

Anybody else have this problem and found a solution please?
