Prompt to download VMware VMCI Bus on Windows host

With all fresh installs of Workstation 11 on Windows 8.1 machines, we're seeing the following message in the Windows Action Center.

Clicking on this message redirects to this VMware KB but is specific to getting this message inside a VM and to update VMware Tools. Again, this is occurring on the Workstation host. How can we prevent this message from happening?
