I have had this error "Exception 0xc0000005 (access violation) has occurred." in several VMware Workstation versions (9, 10 and 11 and also with latest hotfixes). My host is Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit and the guest is Windows 7 Pro 32-bit.
My host HW is a Fujitsu H920 portable workstation (i7-3740QM @ 2,70 GHz, 32GB RAM @ 1600 MHz, Nvidia Quadro K3000M, SSD disks for both host OS and VM's) so it shouldn't be any performance issue. I'm guessing it could perhaps be a compatibility issue with the display adapter, is it?
Has anybody seen this error and successfully solved it? Thanks a lot in advance for your kind help.
