Workstation 11.1.0 crashes at startup

I installed VM Workstation 11.1.0 on Windows 7 Professional 64bit, but when I start the program it throws an exception and pops-up a dialog (see the attached image).

If I click OK in the dialog, then Workstation quits, if I ignore the dialog then workstation runs and will launch a VM normally without any issues.

I completely removed Workstation from C:\ and the registry and reinstalled it afterwards but no change, I still get the exception.

I have reinstalled 11.0.0 until this issue is resolved.

I have attached the logs stored in C:\Users\myusername\AppData\Local\Temp\vmware-Administrator.

Any help would be appreciated.
