I have a Lenovo y50 with a 4k display. I also have an external Samsung regular HD display.
My Guest starts up fine on the 4K display, then if I drag it over to the regular HD display it comes over Huge and then fixes itself...OK i can deal with that.
The Guest still stays in 4K....So as you can imagine reading a 4200x2100 text on a regular HD rez screen is not an ideal situation.
I powered the VM down so it could read that it was on a new display and still starts up in 4K mode. The rest of VMWorkstaion looks to be in proper scale, so it knows it's on a different display, but it's not telling the VM that.
I've tried manually setting the Display in Workstation settings and setting the guest as well. I got it to work once, but never again.
I don't understand how my display in vmware is set to something the physical monitor cannot do?
