In VMware Workstation I noticed, that when I click on the "x" in top right. It gives me 4 options, of which one is "Run in background".
I do expect it to preserve resources while still working and processing whatever it has to do. But I still have quite some questions about it, namely:
- How much of processing power is preserved? I know that it's impossible to say it strictly since it depends on countless amount of the variable and even then it's extremely difficult. But how'd you shot, how much of a RAM/CPU/GPU save is in it? Are we talking that it's using 5%/20%/50% of it's normal usage?
I would test it myself, but I have quite some virtual machines started, and I don't have any extra computers, to run such a test. Instead I can ask it to experienced developers.
- When virtual machine is running on background and I do run scripts that would perform click by rule "Find this picture, click here and here" and would type "test" in Notepad. Will it keep working or it is generally bad idea?
I could test this aswell. But unfortunately I don't have such programs to do such things. I ask this question in general, because answer to this, answers more questions than asking them individually.
Greetings.
