Problems with USB 3.0

Hi Im running a Windows 7 64 bit HP ProBook6470b with a virtual machine windows Xp professional Workstation 8.0

Is there a way with this combination to get USB 3.0 ports to work?  If I test it on a machine with 2.0 ports its works fine however 3.0 ports will not work.
