So this morning I installed latest VMware Workstation patch (10.0.4 build-2249910) and now my Ubuntu does not boot. When I start the OS normally it looks like this:

Dropbox - boot1.PNG

When I go in to the advanced options and "Resume normal boot" I get this:

Dropbox - boot2.PNG

Else if I choose "Ubuntu" I get this:

Dropbox - boot3.PNG

If I drop to root shell with read/write enabled and run "startx" I get stuck atthis:

Dropbox - boot4.PNG

I am using windows 8.1 64bit host and I have a Ubuntu 14.04 64bit guest. I ran "Collect support data" and you can find it here:

Dropbox - vmsupport-11-3-2014-10-36.zip

My Windows 7 64bit guest works fine. Reinstalling VMware does not help.
