I believe this question was already raised but I couldn't find an answer so creation new one.
I have a Windows 2008 R2 Server 64 bits with VMWare Workstation 10.0.4 installed.
Host machine has Intel HD Graphic chip integrated to motherboard. Also it has DirectX 11 installed. dxdiag shows that DirectDraw, Direct3D and AGP Texture are enabled.
Virtual machine has 3D acceleration enabled. It runs Windows 7 64 bits and DirectX 11 installed. The graphic chip appears as VMWare SVGA 3D. dxdiag shows that DirectDraw, Direct3D and AGP Texture are not available.
Any idea why? Instructions I read refer mostly to DirectX 9. Can it be that other versions of DirectX aren't supported in VM?
