Hello all,
My configuration in brief :
PC1 - WIn 7 OS : 10.0.1.242
VM - Ubuntu 10 : 10.0.1.17 [ Guest OS in vm on PC1 ]
PC2 - Win 7 OS : 10.0.1.10
I have vmware ws 10 installed on PC1 machine and installed guest ubuntu 10 in it. PC1 has one onboard NIC and one USB-Eth adapter. In VM, VMnet1 is bridged to Onboard NIC and VMnet2 is bridged to USB-Eth.
The usb-eth adapter is able to work on PC1, no issues with that. I am also able to bridge it in Virtual Network Editor ( VNE ) to Vmnet2. After doing so my VM ubuntu and PC1 are able to ping each other. But VM ubuntu is not able to ping PC2 on same network while PC1 can.
Now if I change the setting in VNE and change mapping from Vmnet2 to Vmnet1 ( Onboard NIC ) the VM is also able to ping the PC2.
Now I tried this with the USB-Adapter on other machines and in windows it works fine but it gives problem with ubuntu VM. Has anyone come across such issue ? How can this be solved ?
Thanks
Ankur
