Hi folks,
New to the forums so hoping someone here can help me out.
I just built my test lab and everything was working fine in bridged mode. I then wanted to isolate the lab network and so created a NAT type connection using the VMnet8 adaptor. You can see my config below:
I can see the VMWare adapter in the network connections of my PC, see below:
I have 3 servers in my test lab and none of them have internet access:
A domain controller with my own internal DNS - assigned 10.0.0.5 / 255.255.255.0
Exchange Server- assigned 10.0.0.6
BES server- assigned 10.0.0.7
My question is what I need to do to enable internet on my test machines? The VM should simply connect to my PC via the virtual network card and then the PC acts as the gateway to the internet by providing it with an IP address?
Also, to which internal host name / IP address do I forward port 25 to reach my Exchange server? Before in bridged mode, my Exchange server was simply recognized by my router on the internal network and it was easy to setup port forwarding.
Thanks for your help
