Hi,
I find the performance of a vm guest to be very slow with disk access. I searched but couldn't find any information with WS10, only older versions. It is a clean installation of the guest machine created on WS10. I copied files from a flash drive, usb3.0, to my host machine hard drive and it took about 10 minutes for close to 1gB. I then started the guest machine and copied the same files from the host drive to the guest drive using the shared network drive vmware-host. It took more than an hour to copy the files.
Any idea what I can do to speed performance? I did check the performance monitor on the guest PC, the CPU is at 100%, used physical memory is at 100%, disk usage seems to be relatively low, on the graph it looks like about 0.2mb/s. The only process using disk time seems to be explorer.exe.
